As wildfires continue to ravage Southern California, strong Santa Ana winds and drought conditions have led to rapid fire spread, endangering lives and property.
Red Flag high wind conditions are expected to continue until Thursday evening, complicating firefighting efforts and making the wildfires hard to predict and control.
Janisse Quinones noted that urban water systems are being pushed to the extreme as they combat the wildfires, highlighting the unique challenges faced in urban areas.
With over 70,000 residents under evacuation orders and five lives lost, the fires have already burned more than 1,000 homes and businesses.
