Heart-shaped rock recovered from Palisades fire gives family hope amid devastation

Jessica Rogers, devastated by the loss of her home, clings to memories and finds hope from a heart-shaped rock retrieved by the Santa Monica Fire Department.

'You know, the least we can do in light of an unprecedented level of devastation is to help a family that is grieving,' said Deputy Chief Tom Clemo of the Santa Monica Fire Department.

'In this tragedy, there's some incredible compassion and support and love, and that's what I'm holding on to,' expressed Jessica Rogers, emphasizing the importance of community support.

Rogers, who decorated her front door with heart-shaped rocks, aims to send a message of hope to her children despite losing their home.
