Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced former film producer, has been transported from Rikers Island prison to a hospital for emergency heart surgery due to chest pains.
Weinstein, who is 72 years old, is currently serving a 16-year sentence for rape and sexual misconduct but is also awaiting a retrial after a previous conviction was overturned.
