Frank Stallone, a 74-year-old actor and younger brother of Sylvester Stallone, shared his disapproval of Los Angeles, citing a significant transformation since he arrived in 1979. Once viewed as sunny and vibrant, he now describes the city as 'scary' and 'filthy,' particularly after witnessing the rising homelessness and urban decay during a recent drive through downtown. He attributed California's decline to the leadership of Governor Gavin Newsom, criticizing his performance and style, and calling for action to address the homelessness crisis.
After recently driving through downtown Los Angeles, Stallone said what he saw was 'filth.' 'You've just got to move them out,' he said of the increasing volume of people sleeping rough.
Stallone blamed California's chaotic state on Gavin Newsom's 'really bad' leadership, saying, 'I think this guy is so transparent. He's so phony. He's a terrible speaker.'
Stallone reflected on his past experience in California when he arrived in '79, saying 'it was totally - it was California Dreamin' and I wasn't even in the best time.'
He described downtown as frightening, stating, 'I mean, I batten down the window, locks... You're talking trash piled four feet high. Just filth.'
