Two individuals attempted to gain access to a Palisades fire evacuation zone using a fake fire truck, impersonating firefighters in protective gear.
Authorities, including the LAPD and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, were alerted to the fake fire truck and apprehended the suspects before they could enter the restricted area.
The suspects claimed to be from a fictitious fire department and were found wearing commercial firefighting attire, raising suspicions among law enforcement personnel.
Sheriff Robert Luna emphasized the seriousness of impersonating emergency responders, stating, "I don't want people in these areas that don't belong, that is not acceptable."
