Dodgers' Max Muncy, Wife Announce Birth of Daughter
"While the veteran third baseman had a slow start to the 2025 season, managing just a .194 batting average and a .610 OPS through the end of April. In May and June, though, Muncy was arguably the best hitter in the Dodgers' lineup. In May, Muncy batted .250 with five homers and 26 RBIs. He continued his tear into June, hitting another seven homers and driving in 26 more runs."
"The third baseman landed on the injured list at the beginning of July, effectively ending his hot streak, and returned to the injured list just 10 days after coming back from his initial injury. If Muncy can remain healthy in the 2026 season and find the form he had in 2025, the Dodgers will have a multitude of huge bats to contribute to their high-powered offense next season."
""Macie Grace our hearts and hands have never been more full, welcome to the world baby girl" Kellie and Max Muncy wrote via Instagram."
Max and Kellie Muncy welcomed daughter Macie Grace, who joins siblings Sophie Kate (born July 2021) and Wyatt James (born April 2023). The Dodgers picked up Muncy's $10 million option, keeping him as the starting third baseman for the upcoming year. Muncy began 2025 slowly (.194 average, .610 OPS through April) but excelled in May and June, combining five homers and 26 RBIs in May with seven homers and 26 RBIs in June. He landed on the injured list in early July, briefly returned, and was placed back on the injured list ten days later. Muncy joined the Dodgers in 2017 after the A's released him, debuted in 2018, posted a .973 OPS in his first full season, and later made an All-Star appearance while receiving MVP votes.
