"Was told the hand injury that reportedly kept Hyeseong Kim out of Team Korea's most recent WBC game is "not anything of concern." Good news for Dodgers and Kim, who has been pushing for an OD roster spot at 2B."
"Kim suffered a left hand injury in Team Korea's third pool play game against Chinese Taipei, a game which they lost, 5-4. The 27-year-old stole second base in the bottom of the 10th inning, sliding head first and injuring himself in the process."
"Before departing for the WBC, Kim made a strong case for himself with the Dodgers. He went 9-for-13 in spring training, hitting a home run and recording five RBIs while showcasing solid defense in both center field and at second base."
Hyeseong Kim suffered a left hand injury during Team Korea's WBC pool play game against Chinese Taipei when he slid head-first stealing second base in the 10th inning. Despite missing Korea's subsequent game against Australia, both Team Korea manager Ji-Hyun Ryu and reporter Jack Harris confirmed the injury is not concerning and Kim remains fit to play. For the Dodgers, Kim has been a leading candidate to fill second base during Tommy Edman's recovery from offseason ankle surgery. Kim impressed during spring training, going 9-for-13 with a home run and five RBIs while demonstrating solid defense at both center field and second base.
