A Mega Millions ticket worth $2,941,708 bought in Los Angeles is unclaimed, expiring soon if not presented to the California State Lottery offices.
If the $2.9-million prize goes unclaimed, it will be redirected to education funding as per Mega Millions rules.
The winning ticket numbers are 8, 23, 44, 45, and 53, missing Mega Number 3, sold at SK gas station, 11280 National Blvd, for the Dec. 12 draw.
