Roki Sasaki returned from right-shoulder impingement that landed him on the injured list in May and has appeared in four games since returning without allowing a run. He has shifted into a bullpen role, regained velocity and swing-and-miss effectiveness, and compiled seven strikeouts across four innings. The Dodgers gradually introduced him into higher-leverage situations late in the regular season and into the Wild Card Series, culminating in his first MLB save against the Phillies. Manager Dave Roberts indicated Tyler Glasnow will be unavailable for Game 2 after a 34-pitch outing, leaving Sasaki available for additional late-inning work. Blake Snell is scheduled to start Game 2.
