Bay Area county investigating unauthorized fences on popular beach
Briefly

According to the complaint, homeowners hired day laborers in April and May to install the fences that extend past the property lines indicated on MarinMap, a geographic information system for the county.
Michelle Levenson, a principal planner with the agency, told SFGATE that it is 'actively coordinating with the CCC regarding jurisdiction and next steps.'
Gil Sanchez, the supervising code compliance specialist for the agency, told SFGATE on Tuesday that it's 'more than likely' that enforcers will visit the properties on Wednesday.
State law ensures public access to beaches up to the 'mean high tide' or the general high water mark on the sand.
