Ash falls on Las Vegas, smoke alert issued due to Calif. wildfires
Briefly

Wildfire smoke is made of small particles and other pollutants that can aggravate respiratory diseases such as bronchitis and asthma or heart disease, the air quality division wrote in its statement. Under today's conditions, it may be best for children, the elderly and people with respiratory and heart disease to stay indoors.
According to the air quality map on AirNow's website, Las Vegas and the surrounding region is the largest area in the west with 'very unhealthy' breathing conditions.
On social media, the National Weather Service wrote, 'Residents in Las Vegas have noted ash falling from the sky. Air quality is poor & is likely to worsen through the night.'
At Harry Reid International Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay for arriving flights for up to 146 minutes due to smoke.
