Elon Musk's Starship rocket underwent another test flight in Texas, but encountered altitude control problems due to a leak, making a successful landing uncertain. This was not the first attempt for Starship, which had previously faced failures, exploding during tests earlier this year. Although Starship was set to conduct numerous tests in flight, including launching dummy satellites, critical systems failed to operate correctly. SpaceX's approach focused on assessing whether the booster could land despite a disabled center engine, while environmental concerns surrounding the Boca Chica launch site continue to be a point of contention.
On this flight, Starship's lower stage, known as 'Super Heavy,' utilized 33 engines, lifting the craft to the edge of space as it bravely attempted another test flight.
During this flight, SpaceX had planned a controlled landing over water, aiming to test if the booster could compensate for a disabled center engine.
