London City Airport has announced a significant investment in local charities and organizations, distributing £48,165 from its annual community fund of £75,000 to 17 deserving groups across east London. These grants, each up to £3,000, aim to bolster community support in areas like Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Newham, Redbridge, and Tower Hamlets. The Newham All Star Sports Academy (NASSA) is one recipient, with its chief executive highlighting the wider community benefits of their work in aiding young people. The airport's leadership expressed pride in contributing to community welfare and development.
We at NASSA are grateful and want to thank London City Airport for the funding. For each young person that NASSA supports, we are also helping their family, friends, peers, and the community they live in.
We're proud to support such a diverse range of charities and organisations that are doing remarkable work to build stronger, safer, and healthier communities.
