The woman had a number of unexplained injuries to her head and had apparently been dead for a number of hours. Her body was found near the stairs in the two storey property which is located in a quiet residential area."

Kelly Cremin, a 32-year-old mother of one, was discovered dead in her two-storey home in Ballincollig, approximately 8km from Cork city, around 5pm on Friday after neighbors raised concerns. The body was found near the stairs with unexplained head injuries and suspected blood stains at the scene. She had been deceased for several hours. The property was immediately sealed for forensic examination. The Office of the State Pathologist was notified, and a full post-mortem examination was scheduled for Saturday at Cork morgue. GardaĆ­ are conducting door-to-door inquiries to determine the woman's last known movements and gather witness information. No one else was present in the house when the body was discovered. Investigation direction will be determined by post-mortem findings.
