An e-bike fire at Harrow's Rayners Lane Underground station caused significant disruptions to the Metropolitan and Piccadilly tube lines on February 27. The London Fire Brigade responded promptly at 11:30 AM, sending three fire engines to manage the situation and extinguish the flames. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, but the incident led to a temporary service suspension on both affected lines while firefighters worked at the scene. Services have since returned to normal after the fire was put out, although the cause is still under investigation.
The London Fire Brigade was called at 11.30am today (February 27) with reports of an e-bike alight on a platform at Rayners Lane Underground station.
Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire, the cause of which is under investigation.
The Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines were affected by a service suspension whilst the matter was dealt with by fire fighters.
Both lines have now recovered following this morning's incident.
