The vibrant East End neighbourhood that people never move away from
Briefly

Old Ford, a vibrant area bordered by the River Lea and Regent's Canal, is hosting a two-day festival in April to celebrate its rich history and community spirit. This neighborhood, once dominated by industrial activity, is now an appealing enclave thanks to residents like Carolyn Clark, a longtime local and author. Clark, who has documented the stories and experiences of local residents, emphasizes the historical connections that shape the fabric of the community. Her book, "Tales from Old Ford and Bow," will be launched during the festival, highlighting the area's transformation over the years.
"This festival is about the history of where we live and the threads which connect the past with the present, with its layers like a jigsaw."
"I interviewed 60 people for the book. It covers all life in Bow and Old Ford and the amount of industry that used to exist in living memory."
