Since 2020, King's Cross station has recorded the highest number of personal injury claims compared to other Tube stations, with 46 claims filed. Overall, TfL documented nearly 14,000 non-fatal injuries across its network. While slips, trips, and falls accounted for most incidents, only a fraction of the claims resulted in compensation. TfL emphasized its commitment to understanding accident causes and reducing safety incidents by analyzing contributing factors during customer boarding and alighting processes.
Almost 1,000 claims were brought over this period across TfL's network, but only 40 were successful. In total, TfL forked out almost 2.6 million to these claimants.
Slips, trips and falls were responsible for the majority of injuries at London’s stations, with escalators and stairs also causing thousands of injuries.
