Teenage boy, 17, stabbed at mass 'TikTok gathering' at Clapham Common
Metropolitan Police were called to Clapham Common on 22 May after fighting broke out at an unauthorised gathering of teenagers allegedly promoted on TikTok. Officers dispersed the group and made nine arrests. A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with stab wounds, and his injuries were assessed as neither life-changing nor life-threatening. Police said a police presence would remain in the area while CCTV and other evidence were reviewed. Officers urged anyone who was at the event or who has information to contact police by calling 101 and quoting CAD8948/22May. Arrests included suspicions of affray, grievous bodily harm and affray, possessing a knife, and assaulting a police officer.
"Four boys, one aged 16, two 17 and one 19 were arrested on suspicion of affray. Two boys, one 16 and one 14, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray. Two people, a 20-year-old man and a boy aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a knfie. An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. All of those arrested remain in custody, the Metropolitan Police said."
