Search for missing girl, 11, who fell in River Thames enters fifth day
Briefly

Kaliyah Coa has been missing since March 31 after entering the River Thames near London City Airport during playtime. Emergency services conducted an extensive search that has since scaled down, but the police remain committed to the search efforts as they enter the fifth day. Local residents reported hearing children shouting before the incident, raising alarming concerns about safety precautions. Many community members feel the area lacks adequate signage and safety measures to protect children from the dangers of paddling in the river.
The water is very high, Ms Rajaendram said, adding that the causeway that appeared to be covered in moss was very slippery. A local resident Naomi Howard told ITV News that there is no safety for children who want to go paddling.
I’m very upset. Even though it’s not my child, it could have been my child. There’s no safety for the children.
