A tragic incident at Putney station led to the death of an individual and caused major delays for train services at London Waterloo. The event, reported around 5pm on April 21, prompted immediate responses from the London Ambulance Service and British Transport Police. Despite the speedy arrival of emergency crews, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The situation was not deemed suspicious, and further investigation will be conducted by the coroner's office. Following the incident, train services resumed normally following temporary disruptions of up to 15 minutes.
A spokesperson London Ambulance Service said: We were called at 4.58pm yesterday (Monday 21 April) to reports of an incident at Putney Railway Station, Putney High Street.
All lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction were closed with trains delayed up to 15 minutes.
Officers were called to Putney railway station at around 5pm yesterday (Monday 21 April) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of first responders, a patient died.
