Mayor Sadiq Khan has approved a proposal to increase parking fines across London by £30 for both higher and lower level offences, effective from April. Fines will now be structured into two bands: Band A for central areas and Band B for suburban regions. Higher level fines will increase up to £160 in Band A and £140 in Band B, while lower levels will rise to £110 and £90 respectively. This adjustment is the first revision since 2010, reflecting changes in living costs and increasing parking congestion in the capital.
