On July 8, 2024, searches for fatal violence and chest freezers were conducted by Yostin Mosquera, who awaits trial for the alleged murders of Paul Longworth and Albert Alfonso. The prosecution claims Mosquera attacked Longworth with a hammer, later decapitating and dismembering both victims. Although he admitted to manslaughter of Alfonso, he denies murdering either man, attributing the violence to Alfonso and insisting he acted in self-defense. Mosquera's move to the UK was initially for English lessons and financial aid after meeting Alfonso online.
On the same day a couple was murdered, searches for "where on the head is a knock fatal?" were made, along with searches for hammer-related queries and chest freezers.
Mr. Mosquera, originally from Colombia, has admitted to the manslaughter of one victim while denying responsibility for the murders, claiming another man committed the crime.
The prosecutor suggested that Mr. Mosquera's online searches indicated he had premeditated the murders, with searches occurring just before the killings.
Mr. Mosquera’s history with the victims included initial plans for English lessons and financial support, leading to the violent events that unfolded.
