Holt had been living in the kitchen of the boarded-up house since it was deemed uninhabitable after a previous fire. Family and friends paid tribute, describing him as a kind gentleman. Neighbors reported being awakened by the fire, and efforts were made to assist others in the vicinity. The community is shocked by the tragedy occurring again so soon.
