Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a single-vehicle crash on the R392 in Ballymahon, Co Longford, which occurred shortly after midnight on March 29. The sole occupant of the car was hospitalized but later died. In a separate incident, a woman in her 40s was seriously injured after being struck by a lorry in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. She was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital. Gardaí are requesting any witnesses or motorists with dash-cam footage to come forward.
