London's Pocket Parks: South End Green, NW3
Briefly

The pocket park near Hampstead Heath, once a larger village green, was cut in half in 1885 to accommodate tramway construction and has since diminished. The western area is now a tiny green space dominated by a Victorian drinking fountain, while the eastern half was paved over for a bus stop. Historical inscriptions around the fountain honor significant individuals and quote notable writers, adding literary charm to the park's ambiance, though its original verdant character has been largely lost.

Once a roundabout at the bottom of South End Road, the park lost its size to infrastructure needs and now features a Victorian drinking fountain.
