I'll vote Labour, but it angers me that the party could take diversity lessons from the Tories | Angela Saini
Briefly

Perhaps it's a sign of where Britain is at that having a British Asian leader is hardly remarked upon. But there wasn't an Indian family I knew that wasn't privately thrilled when Sunak took power in 2022, even if only for a moment. We had arrived.
The Conservative party has made deliberate efforts to promote diversity, with two female leaders and the most ethnically diverse cabinet in history. Black and Asian candidates were given equal chances in nearly any constituency based on shared values.
The Labour party, despite having more ethnic minority MPs, still fails to reflect the diversity of its voter base. About two-thirds of ethnic minority voters historically support Labour, but this support is not mirrored in the party's representation.
