Local resident Sanna Daw recounted witnessing the fire from her roof, describing it as spectacular yet dangerous. Approximately 100 residents, including vulnerable individuals, were evacuated to a community center as safety measures. The London Fire Brigade reported extensive smoke and fire, urging residents to keep windows and doors closed while monitoring air quality closely. Local businesses were also affected, with one café unable to serve due to hazardous fumes.
Describing one hair-raising moment, she said: "You could see the sun rising through the flames, it was quite spectacular. The flames getting bigger and bigger..."
