The Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards celebrated the accomplishments of young Guides from Middlesex East, including Haringey and Brent, at Millfield Theatre. Winners received medallions, certificates, and a £300 grant for their units, honoring both youth and adult leaders who inspire and contribute significantly. Among the awardees, 13-year-old Larayah Blake was recognized for her work on neurodiversity and mentoring, while 14-year-old Ella Embrack was applauded for her leadership and fundraising for sanitary products. The ceremony underscored the Foundation's substantial investments in local communities over the years.
"I am really proud to receive this award, especially because I have simply just been myself at Guides. I was not trying to win anything."
"It's heartwarming, humbling and uplifting to listen to the stories of the award winners."
