Gravesend woman joins sleep-out for homelessness
Briefly

Tish Reynolds, a Kent woman who experienced homelessness as a teenager, will participate in a charity sleep out in London to raise awareness and funds for youth homelessness. At 16, she was evicted and slept in a park before receiving help from a stranger. Reynolds is passionate about supporting adolescents in similar situations, advocating for intervention and support. The charity Centrepoint, which aids over 16,000 young people annually, is working towards ending youth homelessness by 2037, highlighting that lack of accommodation from family or friends is a primary cause of youth homelessness.
"I'm particularly interested in homelessness amongst adolescence after my own experience and believe intervention and support can alter young lives for the better."
"I was fortunate to have the help of a stranger. I believe by being able to participate in this event, I am a stranger hopefully making a difference."
