Gardaí in Roscommon have warned that fireworks, flares, and alcohol will be confiscated if supporters try to bring them into Dr Hyde Park for Roscommon’s championship clash with Tyrone. Searches and crowd screening will operate outside the stadium. The event is described as family-friendly, with alcohol, disposable drinks containers, and fireworks or flares strictly prohibited and seized at barriers. A large crowd is expected for the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship opening round on Sunday at 2pm. Parking restrictions will be enforced around the ground, with supporters encouraged to use public car parks in the town centre. No parking will be permitted on most of the Athlone Road or in adjoining estates, and there will be no parking on the Circular Road.
