Families evacuated after homes collapse' in middle of the night in Notting Hill
Briefly

Around eleven people were evacuated after a portion of the roof of three terraced homes on McGregor Road collapsed. The incident occurred at approximately 1am, prompting a swift response from the London Fire Brigade, who arrived within three minutes. One resident had to be rescued via a ladder due to a blocked exit. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Local authorities are now assisting the evacuated residents with accommodation and liaising with landlords.
Dramatic pictures showed rubble piled on the street from the collapse while firefighters said one of those rescued had their emergency exit blocked by rubble.
The London Fire Brigade said there were no reports of any injuries, and all residents were given helmets as they made their escape for fear of further falling rubble.
Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne said the first of our fire engines were on scene within three minutes after being notified about the incident.
Residents are now being supported by the local authority, as a cordon remains in place around the properties as of 9am Wednesday morning.
