A stabbing incident at Elm Park Primary School's hall during a private birthday party resulted in injuries to two boys, aged 16 and 19. The headteacher, Victoria Morris, emphasized the school's surprise regarding the disturbance, stating that those involved were not known to the school. In response to the incident, the school will no longer allow the hall to be rented for evening events. The police responded quickly but were outnumbered, resulting in injuries to four officers, and multiple arrests were made in connection with the incident.
We were shocked to hear of a disturbance at a private birthday party in our hall over the weekend. This was a private hire and the people involved were not known to us.
Police arrived in four minutes after being called and were heavily outnumbered, leading to four officers being injured while dealing with the incident.
We have successfully let our premises to the local community for years and have stringent protocols in place.
The hall will no longer be let out for evening events, and we are assuring local residents of safety.
