Dramatic drone pictures show huge Dagenham inferno visible across London
Briefly

A significant fire broke out in an industrial area in Dagenham, producing a large plume of smoke seen from miles away. Seventy firefighters from various stations battled the blaze, which involved burning vehicles and scrap metal. While the cause remains undetermined, quick thinking from the fire brigade prevented any injuries by removing gas cylinders that posed explosion risks. The fire was brought under control after two hours. Officials encouraged local residents to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke and advised drivers to avoid affected roads as operations continued.
Fortunately, there were no injuries thanks to the efforts of the firefighters who removed two gas cylinders to avoid them exploding.
This was a very visible fire and it has been producing a lot of smoke. We advise people in the area to continue to keep their windows and doors closed.
