Camden children take their antisocial behaviour concerns to PM
Briefly

On February 18, 2025, Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with Year 6 pupils from Eleanor Palmer Primary School at 10 Downing Street. The visit included a tour of the historic building, which featured stops at the Cabinet Room and a meeting with Larry the Cat. During the press conference, students questioned the Prime Minister on various topics, notably antisocial behaviour, prompting Starmer to outline plans for increased neighbourhood police officers and enhanced authority to manage misbehaviour. The children's enthusiasm for the tour was evident as they reflected on the historical significance of the location.
"The first thing we're going to do is to make sure we've got more neighbourhood police officers; we'll also give them powers to deal with people who are misbehaving."
"They discussed the building's history, including prime ministerial portraits and furniture used by Winston Churchill."
