Bexley parents 'became carers overnight' to son with severe heart defect
Briefly

Rosie and Michael Littlewood are participating in an upcoming marathon to raise funds for Evelina Children's Heart Organisation, Evelina London, and the British Heart Foundation, supporting their son Louis who was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. This condition was detected when Rosie was 20 weeks pregnant, adding stress as they also care for their first child, Poppy, who has Cystic Fibrosis. Louis was born at 36 weeks and spent his early life in intensive care, requiring open heart surgery shortly after his birth. The couple praises the exceptional support from Evelina's staff during this challenging time.
"Our lives were turned upside down. Louis was very poorly at the time and it was a very difficult time, and we were also caring for our other child who also had a very challenging condition."
"The staff at Evelina were just phenomenal and I can't express how wonderful they was throughout the whole process. Evelina and ECHO really made it as easy a process as it could be for all of us."
