The British Library will undergo a major £1.1 billion expansion by 2032, adding 700,000 sq ft of space for library functions and commercial activities. Mitsui Fudosan and RSHP's design will open three sides of the library, providing public access and new connections to the area. Concerns were raised by local residents regarding potential impacts on community spaces during construction.
