Will Johnson has teamed up with former members of Magnolia Electric Co. to form a new group called Magnolia & Johnson Electric Co. They plan to release a two-song 7" record on September 19, featuring recordings of songs by both Jason Molina and Johnson. The group convened in Texas earlier this year to create updated studio versions of these tracks. They will embark on a Texas tour, revisiting cities significant to Molina and Magnolia Electric Co., celebrating their musical legacy together.
Magnolia & Johnson Electric Co. comprises Will Johnson, Mike Brenner, Jason Evans Groth, Michael Kapinus, Mark Rice, and Pete Schreiner, joining forces to tour Texas.
