Wednesday and MJ Lenderman are reissuing their 2021 collaborative EP in vinyl format for the first time, originally released as a cassette by Julia's War Recordings. The record includes tracks like "Big Money" and a cover of Greg Sage's "Sacrifice (For Love)". Douglas Dulagrian, label head, reflects on the EP's significance, describing it as a foundational release and a catalyst for the label's growth. Guttering's reissue is on June 20. Notably, MJ Lenderman announced he will no longer tour with Wednesday, focusing on solo projects.
"Sometimes, I'll look back at a chance encounter or passing interaction years later and realize, 'Wow, that event was the catalyst for all this change,'" said Douglas Dulagrian.
"I'm proud that this record was the first Julia's War release four or five years ago. Crazy to think about that."
"Each release is this little chapter in the book of it all. And that little guy on the cover is the first page."
MJ Lenderman recently shared that he will no longer tour with Wednesday, indicating a shift in his musical journey moving forward.
