South east London bus route to be axed in less than two weeks

Transport for London (TfL) has announced that bus route R6, which operates between Orpington and St Mary Cray, will be discontinued on March 29. In order to keep public transport service available in the area, the B14 bus will alter its route accordingly. While it will not traverse Cray Avenue anymore, its daytime frequency will remain every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday, with increased evening services. Sunday services will also be updated to every 30 minutes from 6am to midnight. Previous proposed changes to other bus routes were scrapped.
Transport for London has confirmed that bus route R6, which connects Orpington to St Mary Cray, will be withdrawn starting March 29.
In response to the withdrawal of the R6, bus number B14 will adjust its routes, ensuring continued service with enhanced evening and Sunday frequencies.
