The party atmosphere in west London will intensify on Monday as revellers head to the Notting Hill Carnival for its second day. Colourful costumes, dancing and music filled the streets during the carnival's children's day on Sunday. The main parade will take place on Monday. The carnival celebrates Caribbean culture and history and has run for more than 50 years. Attendees can expect performances from Brazilian, Caribbean and international bands in elaborate costumes. More than a million people are expected to attend the event.
