PUP has released a single titled 'Get Dumber' featuring Jeff Rosenstock, with whom they have teamed up for their upcoming album 'Who Will Look After the Dogs?'. Alongside the single, they announced a joint US tour this fall, supported by Ekko Astral. Ticket sales include a pre-sale and public on-sale, as well as low-income tickets at specific venues. Frontman Stefan Babcock shared insights on the song's creation, describing its collaborative recording process and a memorable recording anecdote that showcases their playful chemistry.
PUP frontman Stefan Babcock stated, 'I recorded the first demo for it on his guitar using his mics and his computer. Maybe because the ghost of Jeff was in the room with me... I was very happy when he agreed to sing on it.'
Babcock recalled a humorous recording moment saying, 'On the first take, he forgot a line... I couldn't finish the take because I was laughing too hard... we decided those lyrics kinda sucked and he should just stick to 'ahhhh lyrics' because it's funny.'
