Odeke's script is full of one-liners worthy of post-show quotation... delivered with spot-on comedic timing and physical punctuation.
In one scene, the stage is transformed into a colonial show... the audience becomes disturbingly complicit in this form of entertainment.
It's a musical comedy with buckets of fun... the costumes too are delightful and instantly conjure ice-cream-licking entertainment hall fun.
The real person behind the sensationalist reportage of Princess Dinubolu remains a mystery, but Odeke imagines her as a local Essex girl.
