After sixteen years of anticipation and unsuccessful attempts to secure tickets for events at Croker, the dream of attending a significant rock concert culminated in ecstatic success with secured flight and tickets. As the event approached, three large vehicles, including a silver people-carrier and two dark jeeps, emerged from a stadium tunnel, moving toward an impressive stage. The view from Row OO, Section 24 of Murrayfield's Upper West Stand provided a near-perfect line of sight behind a black-out barrier, allowing a unique glimpse of the backstage area, albeit limited access was available.
Sixteen years of hope and a failed bid to get a ticket to Croker (so far) finally turned into the ecstasy of a flight and tickets to see the greatest rock spectacle of my life.
Three enormous cars emerge from a stadium tunnel. A long silver people-carrier. Two dark jeeps. They roll slowly towards a huge stage, hazards blinking.
Row OO, Section 24 of Murrayfield's Upper West Stand is high enough and sufficiently tight to that end to have direct line of sight behind the black-out barrier.
Backstage access - sort of.
