My Morning Jacket Announce Z 20th Anniversary Shows
Briefly

My Morning Jacket is commemorating the 20th anniversary of their fourth studio album, 'Z', with special performances scheduled throughout their summer and fall tour. Frontman Jim James expressed excitement about this milestone, revealing that they will perform the album in its entirety at five selected locations, including iconic venues like Colorado's Red Rocks and Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium. The tour kicks off on August 5th and will support their latest album released on March 21st. Fans can purchase tickets to experience these unique anniversary shows.
"October 4 is the 20th anniversary of our album Z," frontman Jim James said in a statement. "It's pretty wild to think about that. To celebrate 2 decades of it being out in the ether, we're turning 5 of our shows into special Z anniversary shows, where we'll play that album (and some other songs, don't worry) front to back."
These special shows include their dates at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 15th, Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium on August 19th, Brooklyn Paramount on October 16th, Chicago's Salt Shed on October 26th, and Atlanta's Fox Theatre on November 1st.
The group is set to kick off the second leg of their "My Morning Jacket 'is' On Tour" on August 5th, which features multi-night stands in cities including Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, and Atlanta.
The upcoming shows all come in support of their latest album, which dropped on March 21st.
