MikeBrokeasf: EM0THUG
Briefly

The tape EM0THUG from MikeBrokeasf combines elements of trance music and swag rap, resulting in a uniquely aggressive sound. From the opener, "808 Speaker Breakers RIP Speaker Knockers," listeners experience layers of bass and techno blips, complemented by Mike's confident rapping. His earlier work, particularly under the name percosits, laid the groundwork for this bone-chilling sound. Although the album is short at 19 minutes, it delivers a raw and challenging sonic experience, marked by carnal themes and unrestrained energy. The music reflects a blend of pleasure and discomfort that keeps listeners on edge.
The new tape from Tennessee-based SoundCloud deviant MikeBrokeasf, EM0THUG, brought me right back to that bone-chilling feeling.
Aptly titled "808 Speaker Breakers RIP Speaker Knockers," it comes with brutal waves of bass and alarmous techno blips that mutate half a dozen times.
EM0THUG at its most left-field is grating and unforgiving. Everything is borne out of carnal, off-the-cuff sadism.
Despite just being 19 minutes long, MikeBrokeasf has messed around with plugg music and raggedy electronica since the early 2020s.
