Ahmed Sami Madour, 46, has been charged with theft for allegedly stealing a 150,000 violin from violinist David Ibanez at the Marquess Tavern. The violin, made in Florence in 1740, was loaned to Ibanez for performances. Madour faces two counts of theft, including a 4,000 guitar stolen on the same day. He was charged on January 19 and is set to appear in court on May 10, 2027, after entering not guilty pleas. Madour was released on unconditional bail pending trial.
