Tipperary is hosting a June bank holiday long weekend with events for families, music across multiple styles, and opportunities for walking and trekking. A featured charity event is the Lough Derg 100 motoring gathering on Saturday, May 30, starting at Carey Glass in Nenagh. Car enthusiasts will view classic and performance vehicles from 11am to 1pm before driving around Lough Derg. The event ends at 2pm at The Green Bar in Borrisokane, where cars remain on display and food and drinks are available. Donations will be collected on the day for North Tipperary Hospice, continuing the event’s annual fundraising tradition.

"Lough Derg 100 is an annual motoring event organised by a group of passionate volunteers and car enthusiasts from Nenagh Classic Car Club and the surrounding area. Every year, the group uses the event to raise funds for a selected charity.. In 2025 more than 100 cars took part and more than €635 was raised for the Irish Guide Dogs, with a further €2,925 raised for Pieta House."
"Spectators and automotive fans are invited to come to Carey Glass from 11am to 1pm to view the machines on display before they head off around the lake. The event will then finish at 2pm at The Green Bar, Borrisokane, where all cars will once again be on display for local spectators. Food and drinks will be available to purchase from the Green Bar."
