'It's Aslan in a different way, but in a good way': Life after Christy, returning to the Olympia and 'unreal' reaction to new single

Following the passing of Christy Dignam, the beloved frontman of Aslan, the remaining band members - Joe Jewell, Billy McGuinness, and Alan Downey - chose to keep the band alive by bringing in Lee Tomkins as the new lead vocalist. Since February of the previous year, Aslan has embraced a dynamic and productive journey, highlighted by a successful Australian tour, a memorable collaboration with Coldplay at Croke Park, and the release of new music.

After the heartbreaking loss of Christy Dignam, the remaining Aslan members faced a pivotal decision: to continue as a band or to dissolve. They chose to forge ahead with Lee Tomkins as their new lead vocalist.

In February last year, Aslan embarked on a year filled with significant milestones, including a tour in Australia, a collaborative stage performance with Coldplay, and the release of a new single.
