'I am devastated' - Fontaines D.C. cancel South American gigs as lead singer suffers health issue
Briefly

The Irish band Fontaines D.C. announced the cancellation of their upcoming concerts in South America due to lead singer Grian Chatten suffering from a herniated disc. Chatten expressed his devastation over missing the opportunity to perform in countries he had looked forward to visiting for years. While they recently completed a successful tour in Australia and New Zealand and are set for shows in North America in mid-April, the immediate future for their South American tour remains uncertain as they prioritize medical care and recovery for Chatten.
I am devastated to announce that, due to a herniated disc, we must cancel our show in Mexico tomorrow night and our forthcoming dates in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
I have been really excited to play these beautiful countries for years and it really hurts to be here in Mexico City and not be able to go onstage, but I have been advised today, that I require urgent medical attention.
The Irish group, consisting of Grian Chatten, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan, Tomm Coll and Carlos O'Connell, are set to perform in North America in mid-April.
