Emanuela Tarizzo has been appointed director of Frieze Masters, taking over from Nathan Clements-Gillespie in April 2025. With a background at Tomasso gallery, which exhibits at Frieze Masters, she aims to further the fair’s vision of integrating historical art with contemporary discourse. Tarizzo's leadership comes amidst uncertainty as the parent company, Endeavor, prepares for a potential sale, indicating a critical transition for the fair scheduled for October 2025 in London's Regent's Park. Key goals include nurturing relationships with museums and collectors.
I am honoured to join Frieze Masters at such a pivotal time. From its inception, the fair has stood out for its innovative narrative—one that invites fresh perspectives on historical art.
Tarizzo's appointment comes at an uncertain time for the Frieze events and media company, which is being floated for sale by its owner, Endeavor.
